Description:
Not much is known about Valentin Haussmann. Even his life data could not be determined exactly so far. He is said to have lived between 1540 and 1640 and to have been an organist, councilor and teacher (for example of Daniel Friderici, 1584 - 1638) in Gerbstädt (Saxony). In addition, he traveled extensively and collected dances (for example, in Poland) .
These he published with his own compositions, songs and instrumental movements. His publications fall in the period between 1588 and 1611.
