Description:
With "English Christmas in Brass", Tobias Debold presents a sonorous and practical arrangement of three of the most famous English Christmas chorales for brass quartet. The collection combines traditional melodies with modern, well-balanced compositional technique and is ideal for the Advent and Christmas season - from concerts to church services to festive preludes. 1. I Saw Three Ships on Christmas Day 2. God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen 3. We Wish You a Merry Christmas Versatile – for stage, church and teaching The medium level of difficulty makes the work particularly versatile: > Professionals appreciate the stylish elaboration and tonal depth of the chorale movements. > Amateur ensembles benefit from easily playable voices and a sure effect on the audience. > Instrumental teachers will find high-quality repertoire for ensemble work, school concerts and auditions during the Christmas season. The arrangements are musically demanding without overtaxing – ideal for the development of a homogeneous brass sound. Tobias Debold combines traditional English choral style with a contemporary, transparent style of writing. The voices are balanced, rhythmically clear and tonally effective. This creates a festive, warm atmosphere that convinces both in acoustically demanding rooms and outdoors.
