Description:
Fabula [fable] is a free, imaginative narrative from which a lesson can be drawn. The idea of using this title for some works inspired me because it gives me a lot of freedom in the choice of musical structure. This resulted in Fabula 1 (concerto for violin and orchestra), Fabula 2 (concerto for cello and orchestra), Fabula 4 (a work for voice and strings), etc. Fabula 6 is for tuba, timpani and low strings, with alternative versions for tuba, timpani and low brass as well as for tuba and piano (excerpt), ideal as a recital piece. The work is structured in three parts with clearly outlined sequences. In addition, the ensembles do not just function as simple accompaniments; the solo part and the individual voices are used as individually as possible. The premiere took place on January 27, 2012 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The soloist was Vitaly Lazarev, the conductor was Eldar Azimov. Fabula 6 is available in 3 versions: - for tuba and piano (BIM TU187a) - for tuba, timpani and low strings (4 cellos, 3 contrabassi (BIM TU187b/c, score and parts) - for tuba, timpani and low brass (4 euphoniums, 3 tubas) (BIM TU187d/e, score and parts)
