Description:
Brass quintet and organ (or 2 brass quintets)
Fanfare for Canterbury Cathedral was written for and first performed at Canterbury Cathedral, March 11, 1979 by the Delbarton Brass Ensemble, to whom the work is dedicated.
The piece was originally written for double brass quintet. If a double quintet is unavailable, an organ may be used as replacement. In either event, separate the two groups to produce the antiphonal effects implicit in the composition.
