Description:
With Nutcrackers Swing, Matthias K. Weber combines well-known motifs from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite with a swinging jazz idiom and the sound of a brass ensemble. The dance-like character of the original themes is deliberately retained, even if they are stylistically reinterpreted. The result is a lively interplay of classical melody and modern groove that combines lightness, movement and new tonal energy.
