The French composer Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924) composed the 'Requiem' in the years 1877-1900. The 'Pie Jesu' from this mass is a delightful piece for solo soprano but in this transription the solo part is played by a flügelhorn with accompaniment of a Brass Ensemble.
