Description:
Stations describes, in four movements, a musical journey from departure to arrival. The work draws on the diverse sonic possibilities of the brass quintet—ranging from powerful and radiant soundscapes to lyrical, chamber-music-like passages. The four "stations"—Departure, Encounter, Reflection, and Arrival—each represent a distinct mood and characteristic expression, yet they come together to form a cohesive musical arc. Following the lyrical and melancholic moments of the middle movements, the musical journey culminates in a radiant and joyful arrival.
