Description:
Vier Meditationen (Four Meditations), published by Strube Verlag, is a profound and sonorous work composed for an eight-part brass ensemble (4 trumpets and 4 trombones). Centered around the moving theme "Der Traum vom Frieden" (The Dream of Peace), this cycle crafts an intense emotional journey across four evocative movements: from the harrowing atmosphere of "Angst" (Fear) through the warming solace of "Trost" (Comfort) and the radiant majesty of "Hoffnung / Sanctus" (Hope) to the reconciling serenity of "Frieden / Agnus dei" (Peace). Masterfully exploiting the rich dynamic range and expressive depth of the brass octet, this full score is ideally suited for sacred services, commemorative events, and ambitious concert performances with a timeless message of peace.
