With Walking with You, Nico Samitz presents a new work for brass quintet. He has been writing music for the ensemble BlechReiz BrassQuintett, in which he himself plays trumpet and piano, for over ten years - stylistically, his work ranges from classical to jazz to meditative soundscapes. Influenced by his studies at the Mozarteum Salzburg and his experience as a trumpeter with major orchestras, Walking with You combines personal expressiveness with stylistic openness. The focus is on the desire to share emotions musically - directly, honestly and approachably.
