Description:
The March Opus 99 was composed by Sergei Prokofiev in 1943 for a Soviet military band and was first broadcast on Moscow Radio on April 30, 1944. It is not a typical march, but a lively and energetic work with some dissonant harmonies and rhythmic contrasts. The march was originally composed for a Russian military band without oboes, bassoons and saxophones.
