Description:
The individual pieces in this collection were written by Marcus Graf especially for this instrumentation for use in music schools. They are suitable for talented and ambitious music pupils, students and also excellent amateur musicians. Every instrument gets its money's worth and offers a broad learning factor for all instruments in the quartet when rehearsing and performing the pieces. In the instrumentation, each player is given an equal role in leading the melody, in the accompaniment and in the solo sections. The alternation, the wandering of the melody parts between the different instruments happens in phrases, in motifs or can even be recognized only in single notes. The preparation in the handover and the empathy in taking over and continuing the phrases requires a certain degree of self-confidence from the performers, which can be practiced excellently by means of musical coquetry and anticipation with these pieces. The pieces help to find the tonal balance that leads to a unique sound and thus forms the ensemble into a solid unit.
In addition, there are musically interesting variations for 5 of the pieces especially for training with alternation between wind and Orff instruments. The changes take place smoothly back and forth. These variations provide additional variety through the integration of the extensive Orff instruments, the exploration and acquisition of the playing style and completely different timbres.
This collection not only provides challenging practice material but also musical enjoyment for musicians and audiences throughout the year.
