Description:
The present bassoon concerto in F major is in 3 movements. The short introductory adagio is followed by an allegro with an extensive introductory stutti. Then the bassoon presents its very melodic theme and shines with virtuoso triad breaks, scales and large leaps in intervals, as we know it from the well-known bassoon concertos of the time. The 2nd movement is an extended adagio with a lyrical motif that does not have to hide behind other compositions of the time. The Rondo à la Pollaca with its cheerful theme fits into the series of classical concerts in terms of the sequence of movements.
