Description:
This is a fairly free sort of recitative in three sections, with a faster, very rhythmic central part. It is quite an interesting piece for bassoonists, featuring a considerable number of technical aspects along with a whole palette of colours to be highlighted. The style is reasonably supple, in a fairly modern language with fairly rich writing, even on the harmonic level. These difficulties are relatively important but, at the same time, provide a working goal, as the piece can also be considered an etude, even though in a colourful language and a fairly free style.
