Description:
Anton Diabelli is best known today as the composer of the waltz melody used by Beethoven in his opus 120 Diabelli Variations. As a proof reader for a leading Viennese publisher, he developed a special interest in the business and eventually started the firm of Cappi & Diabelli in 1818. Most of Diabelli's compositions are little known today. This 'Introduction and Rondo,' originally for violin and piano, is a charming sample of his music and a delight to play.
