Description:
This work was commissioned by New-York based clarinettist Thomas Piercy. It was composed in residence at the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur, in Montreal, with funds from the Canada Arts Council. Les flammes sont des éponges ngànga et frappez is a verse from Tristan Tzara's poem Le géant blanc lépreux du paysage (1918).
