In the fall of 2025, Jean-Guy Boisvert asked me to compose a piece of around five minutes for clarinet and piano, using a text by a Quebec author for inspiration. We quickly agreed on Anne Hébert, and I proposed a poem of hers that I am very attached to, Les pêcheurs d’eau.
