Description:
This piece is one of Grieg's most famous works, and comes from the first Peer Gynt suite. It is a song to the morning in 6/8, using notes from the pentatonic scale. This arrangement features broad, warm tones on the lower clarinets (including contrabass in this version), and high trills on the Eb clarinet to represent birdsong.
