Description:
This piece comes from Grieg's second Peer Gynt suite. Because of its haunting nature, it was used recently on Joanna Lumley's film about the northern lights, and the piece brings on visions of the aurora flickering across the night sky. This arrangement features the broad melodies on each of the higher clarinets, and deep bass notes in the alto and bass clarinets.
