Description:
Johann Wilhelm Gabrielski(y) was born at the end of the 18th century. Following his musical education with the Berlin flutist August Schroeck among others, he became first flutist in Stettin. In 1916, he returned to Berlin. The 14 divertimentos are based on simple keys up to A major and quite short for the most part. Apart from dances such as waltz, Allemande, Polonaise etc. you will also find rondos and pieces which do not belong to a certain genre. The movements are of easy rhythmic structures, the parts are quite balanced with regard to their level of difficulty and their requirement. Well-suited for music instruction.
