Description:
These three short pieces were written as preliminary studies for a concertante work for flute and string orchestra for the principal flutist of the Vienna Philharmonic, Wolfgang Schulz. The work consists of a cascading "Vivace dinamico", an "Espressivo ardente" containing sound alterations that place technical demands on the performer, and a concluding Capriccio eccentrico", a virtuosic piece that is technically demanding in terms of articulation.
