Description:
James Rae’s *30 New Studies* is the ideal complement to and preparation for the time-tested *40 Modern Studies for Solo Flute*. The 30 études, arranged in order of increasing difficulty from easy to moderately difficult, introduce students to a variety of technical and musical challenges. Stylistically, the range extends from classical music through jazz and Latin to rock. The result is a diverse collection of practice pieces that not only develop technical skills but also serve as compelling concert pieces and are excellent for exams.
