These four pieces by Ernesto Nazareth were originally written for piano. Transcribed here for piccolo, these works show off both sides of the piccolo's possibilities, the brilliant and the plaintive. Movements consist of: Encantador, Garoto, Ouro Sobre Azul, and Apanhei-te Cavaquinho. The first work, Encantador, also includes an optional transposition such that it can be played on alto flute.
