Franco Cesarini has selected these 40 etudes of easy to medium difficulty from 12 different collections by six composers. He wanted to select the most "musical" etudes that, in addition to practicing technical skills, would contribute to the development of the musicality of young flutists.
At a young age, Franco Cesarini did not like etudes with repetitive and mechanical figurations. During his studies, he was expected to train daily technical exercises, scales, arpeggios, etc. His favorite etudes, however, were those with the musical content, and it is precisely these that he has chosen for the present collection.
The etudes have been completely revised: Franco Cesarini has corrected all articulations, dynamics and breathing signs. In some cases, where there were obvious errors in the old editions, he also changed the grades. All these parameters have been modified to achieve a higher learning effect in the etude. The etudes are progressive in order to accompany the flutists in their technical and musical progress.
Franco Cesarini believes that with this collection he has made a contribution to a more pleasant and musical study of these "classics" of flute teaching.
