Description:
Karl Keller (1784-1855), who introduced himself to the public as "Charles" Keller around 1815 as the composer of the six divertissements for flute in fashionable French, was famous as a flutist in the first half of the 19th century. The divertissements are brilliant pieces which, due to their diverse creative means, timbres and musical moods, go far beyond virtuosity aimed solely at effect and are also particularly suitable today as demanding performance pieces for advanced flautists.
