Description:
The title refers to the historical period that marked the transition between the baroque and classical styles. Rococo music is characterized by a profusion of ornaments, by graceful elegance and lightness of writing. Concerto Rococò consists of three movements: Toccata, Elegie and Gigue en Rondeau - typical musical forms of that time. The concerto is very demanding on the technique of the soloist, but consequently highlights the instrument's capabilities for both agility and lyricism. Also available for Flute and Concert Band (DHP 1811-11-140/010).
