Description:
This pedagogical collection of duets is a continuation of volume 1 and is aimed at flute students in the middle of cycle 2. Consisting of 20 steps for 2 transverse flutes, it allows the two flautists to develop a real musical complicity thanks to Gilles Martin's Préludes, which prepare the duets, and arrangements of extracts from the Répertoire. The two voices are of equal difficulty and importance, and an introduction to the piccolo, alto flute and bass flute is offered for some of the pieces.
The very meaning of chamber music is to listen, to be together in perfect harmony. Thank you to Claudine Bonodot and Gilles Martin for this wonderful project!
The originality of these two works lies in the desire to introduce students to the classical music repertoire through short, highly elaborate transcriptions. But not just any old way: in the first collection, the pieces were accompanied by preparatory exercises. In this volume, it is the preludes that make it easier to play the work that follows, and therefore with renewed happiness and joy. The ultimate goal for any musician!
