This single movement Fantasia was written for the promising young American flautist Emma Resmini. The piece exploits her technical fluency and command of the instrument over a wide range and is therefore suitable for advanced players. The piece has a distinctly Spanish flavour and explores different moods and tempos. There are several passages where the flute plays unaccompanied and the piece ends with a lively dance in triple time.
