Featuring possibly one of the most famous flute solos, set against arpeggiated harp chords, (which could be played on piano if necessary) this is a faithful arrangement of Vaughan Williams' richly textured English orchestral piece which combines Greensleeves and the more robust folk tune Lovely Joan. As in the original, all parts get an opportunity for a melody. This arrangement was commissioned in memory of the flautist and teacher, Peter Lloyd.
