Description:
For an ensemble or group of musicians, it is sometimes difficult to have all members available for every performance. Personal, family, or professional commitments can result in some musicians being absent from certain performances—including, perhaps, those who play important parts essential to a successful interpretation of the selected piece. With this collection, we aim to offer an alternative that allows an ensemble to perform even when individual musicians are unable to attend. The pieces can be performed with at least 4 musicians (parts 1, 2, 5, and 8 are mandatory). In addition, it is possible to add one or more additional parts (3, 4, 6, and/or 7). In this way, the pieces can develop a full, balanced, and resonant sound even with an ensemble of about twenty musicians, provided that the various parts are distributed appropriately.
