Description:
3 Flutes and Alto Flute. (Score and Parts).
The Flight of the Bumblebee is a piece beautifully written to simulate the continuous droning of an insect in flight. It is a virtuoso lollipop, which is already popular in a variety of arrangements. This version was prepared by Frances Jones and offers the frenzied solo line to that flexible and agile instrument, the flute. One very good player is required, who will need the able support of two flutes and alto flute, both to accompany and to take over the semi-quavers while flute 1 takes an occasional breath.
