Description:
Johann Christian Bach, who is called the "Milanese" or "London" Bach to distinguish him from his brothers according to his places of activity, played a decisive role in the development of the new classical style and is regarded as Mozart's actual predecessor and influential model. His Trio in G major for two flutes and basso continuo can also be performed with two flutes and violoncello in the manner of Joseph Haydn's "London Trios" and thus offers different trio formations the opportunity to "musically get to know" this youngest son of Johann Sebastian Bach. A rewarding, moderately difficult piece for any flautist who enjoys playing chamber music.
