Description:
The great composers of the Romantic period enriched the flute repertoire only sparingly. This makes Franz Schubert's Introduction and Variations on 'Trockne Blumen' from the song cycle 'Die schöne Müllerin' for flute and piano all the more important. The edition of the Wiener Urtext Edition follows the autograph of the work, which was only printed after Schubert's death. It also publishes Variation 5, which was extensively reworked by the composer, not only in its final version but also in its highly virtuoso first version. The clear, uncluttered musical notation is designed for practicable turnarounds.
