Description:
Apart from the concertos, flutists have not been very spoiled by Mozart. Therefore, Hans-Martin Linde has arranged the two Solfeggias (KV 393) for flute and piano (basso continuo), thus providing flutists with two grateful chamber music pieces. Mozart wrote these two vocal exercises in the summer of 1782 for his wife Constanze. It was obvious to transcribe these untexted pieces - real pearls of Mozartian melodicism - for the flute, by transposing them one tone up.
