Description:
The three miniatures for solo horn were written at the request of Jean-Pierre Cénédèse for the second edition of the René Vidalot Competition.
The first, Aqueuses articulations [Watery Articulations], requires a very stable pulse and strict adherence to articulations.
The second, Gazeuses mélopées [Gaseous Melodies], is free and melodic.
The third, Solides scansions [Solid Scansions], is lively and also requires a very assertive pulse. The character of the different phrases, the articulations, and the proposed dynamics call for a highly contrasted interpretation.
