This Sonata is commissioned by Japan Horn Society (JHS) and composed in spring 2010, for the 1st Japan Horn Competition organized by JHS. This work consists of following three movements and the 1st Movement Prelude is selected as an obligatory piece for the second stage of the Competition. The 1st Movement / Prelude: Allegro vivace, Sonata Form - The 2nd Movement / Intermezzo: Larghetto cantabile e molto espressivo, ternyry form - The 3rd Movement / Finale: Presto, rondo form, Duration of the three movemenbts approximately 13 minutes
