Bring pure emotion to your repertoire: "Ashokan Farewell" is the world-renowned, deeply moving lament that rose to fame as the iconic theme from the award-winning TV mini-series "The Civil War". With its yearning, Celtic-inspired melodies, this piece unfailingly captivates both performers and audiences.

In this sensitive arrangement from publisher Wonderful Winds, the piece unfolds its distinctive, warm, and melancholic character within a double reed trio scored for two oboes and cor anglais (English horn). The cor anglais adds remarkable depth to the poignant theme, while the two oboes blend into rich, heartfelt harmonies.

This high-quality edition includes the full score as well as all individual parts. An enchanting highlight for concerts, recitals, and intimate ensemble performances!
