French violinist and composer Benjamin Godard (1849-1895) composed Scenes Ecossaises (Scottish Scenes), Op. 138 for solo oboe and orchestra in 1892, with a version for piano accompaniment also created that same year. The work is written in three movements: I. Légende pastorale; II. Sérénade à Mabel; III. Marche des Highlanders. Both the orchestra and piano version are available from the publisher.
