Description:
Joseph Bodin de Boismortier (1689-1755) published a volume of easily playable compositions as op. 27 in 1730. We have taken the six little suites in our edition from this volume as they are particularly suitable for recorder playing. The suites are artfully composed and at the same time light and simple. There are always different types of movements, different sequences. Each suite ends with a different dance form which encloses a contrasting middle movement.
