Description:
This recorder technique is aimed at advanced alto recorder players who are looking for material to work consistently on the fundamentals of their instrumental and musical skills. The present technique work is conceivable as a continuation of the two alto recorder volumes 'Spiel und Spass mit der Blockflöte', since the elements of a basic technique for the recorder addressed in the alto recorder school are continued continuously and with a view to artistic recorder playing. According to the original literature of the instrument, the exercises refer mainly to the alto recorder. Some technique chapters are to be practiced on both the alto and the soprano recorder (in transposed fingering). The term 'technique' should not be misunderstood: The ultimate goal of the exercises is artistic expression, inspiration, emotion, and tonal design.
