Description:
In 1727, Joseph Bodin de Boismortier (1689–1755) published six concertos for five transverse flutes or other instruments. The edition published by Basilisk Edition includes the 6th Concerto from Opus 15. It has been transposed up a minor third, allowing the concerto to be performed with five alto recorders without any further modifications. The score has been provided with figured bass, so the concerto can also be accompanied by a bass instrument or a continuo ensemble.
