His "Getreuen Music-Meister", which G. Ph. Telemann began publishing in 1728, includes, among other works, the four famous sonatas for alto recorder and basso continuo. Among these, the "Sonata (Duetto) in B-flat Major" holds a special place, as the bass line follows the melody in a strictly canonical manner. This makes it perfect for playing as a duet with alto or bass recorders. This edition makes that possible, as each duet is printed in both treble and bass clefs. Comparing the two versions provides a good exercise in reading the bass clef.
