Description:
Richard Erig’s seven fables for melody and bass instruments are meant to be understood as stories without words. They are written as duets for two instruments of equal standing, but can also be enriched with harmony instruments and/or double bass thanks to the chord notations. Recorders, flute, clarinet, and violin are suitable for the melody part. For the bass part, bass recorder, cello, viola da gamba, or bassoon are possible options. The Fables can also be performed as piano solos.
