Frühlingslieder

This collection contains 34 short, technically accessible four-part pieces. The varied pieces range from cheerful and lively to gentle and melancholic spring songs.
The pieces are particularly suited for performance by a recorder quartet in the SATB configuration, although most movements can also be played in the SAAB configuration. The spring songs also reveal their special charm when performed by a viola da gamba ensemble or with other melodic instruments. For violas or violas da gamba, the two middle parts are also available for download in alto clef notation.
The pieces compiled by Raphal B. Meyer come from various eras and were specifically selected so that they can be performed after only a short rehearsal period or even sight-read. Ideal for lessons, ensemble rehearsals, or concerts—and not just in the spring!
