Description:
An unknown 18th-century composer: Clair-Nicolas Rogets. His "Opus 3" (printed in Paris in 1739 and originally composed for two transverse flutes) captivates with its High Baroque melodies. The six sonatas follow the form of a French suite and have been arranged in this edition for two alto recorders using the principle of third transposition. A little gem that lay dormant far too long in the archives of the Bibliothèque nationale de France and now desperately deserves to be rediscovered!
