Description:
Raphael B. Meyer once again serves up recorder delights—this time in the Spanish style. *Tapas* consists of 10 musical bites featuring an expanding ensemble: the piece begins with a solo for tenor recorder. With each subsequent movement, another voice is added until the table is set and "Pan con Chorizo" invites listeners to a 10-part musical feast. Tapas is a humorous composition—entertaining for performers and audiences alike—for 10 recorders (Ss/S/A1/A2/A3/T1/T2/B/Gb/Sb) or a recorder orchestra, featuring percussive elements and parts of varying levels of difficulty.
