Immerse yourself in the virtuosic world of the English Baroque with "The Division Flute", published by the renowned Bärenreiter Verlag. This exquisite edition presents captivating variations on the popular traditional tune "Johney Cock thy Beavor", drawn from the famous London collection of 1706. Masterful, anonymously composed variation cycles ("divisions") combine infectious joy of playing, elegance, and rich sonorities in a truly unique way. Scored for treble (alto) recorder and basso continuo, this work is a wonderful addition to the concert repertoire for both ambitious recorder players and early music ensembles.
