Description:
The entire harmonic and melodic material of this piece is based on the first two movements of the Violin Concerto in D by Johannes Brahms. These are the basis for minimal patterns and rhythmic capers. The client Elisaveta Blumina's brief was to write a solo work for saxophone that has a reference to Hamburg's most famous composer Johannes Brahms. The piece was premiered by Christoph Enzel at the Russian Chamber Music Festival in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.
