This piece could be best described as a classically constructed piece with a jazz attitude. The tonal language has more to do with 20th century chamber music than jazz. So do the form and the structure of the movements. The rhythmic language probably comes more from jazz than from the classical area, although at times the piece could go either way. The same could be said for the phrasing and articulation. Advanced
