Description:
The "Vier romantische Stücke" are intended for saxophone quartets in cycle 2. Big sisters of the pieces of the Kleines romantisches Album (GB10214), they aim to offer a more in-depth journey into the romantic universe of the early nineteenth century, but also to establish a permanent dialogue between the four saxophonists: each one takes on the role of main melody, countermelody, accompaniment or bass.
Modelled on the short pieces in the Children's Album op. 68 by Robert Schumann, exploring a wide range of nuances and registers, these pieces offer the opportunity for young saxophonists to deploy all their chamber skills and all their expressiveness.
