Description:
The present sonata is based on a sonata for cornett, strings and basso continuo in F major. The version for two trumpets and organ in E flat major was created under the collaboration of Ludwig Güttler and Friedrich Kircheis, who played as duet partners for many years.
Piccolo trumpets in B flat/G or instruments in E flat are recommended as the most suitable trumpets. The solo parts can also be played by oboes, and scoring with violins is also possible.
